I think what the 3135 possesses that the 3235 doesn't (yet) is its proven reliability over time. For over 31 years it's been Rolex's standard and has been studied/ repaired by countless watchmakers.
Based on my pristine experience with the 3135 and satisfactory experience with the 3235 (even if hit and miss), I trust Rolex and I have no doubt the source of the problem can be found and addressed, eventually. The first way Rolex has managed to increase power reserve is via the Chronergy escapement, a modern take on the Swiss lever variation. The escape wheel is pierced, which makes it lighter, and this in turn reduces inertia.
My YM 116622 has the 3135 movement and it's been super accurate and faultless for the past 6 1/2 years. I prefer the behaviour of my 3135 over my 3235s. It's more stable and only gains a little bit of time, between +0.5 and +1.5 s/d.
