Panerai releasing the PAM914 is like the Rolling Stones playing "Satisfaction." It was just an undeniably dead-center kind of watch, the one you might have sent out to space to represent Panerai to aliens. It's the Panerai that didn't have some feature you wished was or wasn't there. Here's why this watch is the perfect Panera. After lots of reading and research into Panerai, I landed on the PAM915 which I think is a near-perfect model. Sandwich dial, manual movement, 8-day power reserve, completely polished case, minimally intrusive dial, and reference to its heritage on the dial with Italian, it’s been an absolutely joy to wear.

Eight Days A Week: Luminor Base 8 Days PAM 914 & PAM 915 (Small Seconds) This pair of 44mm eight-day Luminors came out in late 2019 and flew under the radar at first. Equipped with the P.5000 movement and a true sandwich dial, these models tick many of the boxes that people looking for a Panerai are after.

Before purchase I read very much mixed reviews on panerai’s p5000 movement, but couldn’t find much chatter on it post 2020. Some said it ran fast, others said it was wildly inaccurate, some said theirs was spot on.

PAM915 in its natural habitat as a dive watch - the ocean. I always wanted a watch with a macho character. About 5-6 years ago, I saw Bell & Ross BR-03 and showed a picture of it to my best friend, who had multiple similar watches in his collection, and he introduced me to Panerai, and since then, I have been thinking about buying one. But .The new Pam 914 and 915 are replacing the 510 and 560. With a lower price point, these models bring back all the features Panerai fans like. Both the Pam 914 and 915 have sandwich dials, and an 8 day movement.

Although neither had the PAM 914, one did have the PAM 915, which I thought was gorgeous in the flesh: Hopefully, I will be able to see a PAM 914 in the flesh soon. But, IMHO Panerai did a great job with these upgrades to their classic 44mm Luminor watches with 8-day movement (Calibre P.5000). Some of you will have seen the new PAM 915 (and it's sibling, the PAM 914). They're lovely: 44mm Luminors, steel, black dial with aged lume. 915 has small seconds at 9 o'clock, 914 has 9 o'clock at 9 o'clock.

I LVOE eveything about the Flandrin ~ the luscious leather trim on the handles and around the sides of the bag, the fact that the handles stand up straight, the gorgeous ultrasuede lining, the zippered divider pocket that is SUPER thick and is REALLY deep .
