I guess I like the way Seiko flies under the radar . Compared to the Seiko divers Rolex has much better fit and finish, uses a higher grade of steel for watch purposes, has arguably a more robust movement and can go just as long without service BUT Seiko movements are .

I guess I like the way Seiko flies under the radar versus the image a Rolex projects 🤠🎄😎 Compared to the Seiko divers Rolex has much better fit and finish, uses a higher grade of steel for watch purposes, has arguably a more robust movement and can go just as long without service BUT Seiko movements are cheap just to replace in many cases, people see the cost benefit in keeping a Rolex movement serviced. Four different Seiko Marinemaster 300 in various colorways vs. one Rolex Submariner, which would you choose? (I own 3 MM300s, scaled back from 4, so yes, I have issues, but that is how I voted with my wallet.)
Seiko Marinemaster 300M (models SBDX001 & SBDX017) are often compared to the Rolex Submariners, being referred to as the "Japanese" Rolex Submariner.
All I can say is that the MM300 would be the perfect watch apart from the daft text on the dial:ditch "automatic, professional & marinemaster". With just Seiko & 300m on the dial it makes the Rolex into an also-ran.The MM300 is just a better dive watch. Marinemaster 300 vs submariner. Size-wise the MM does not wear like a 44, more like a 42, but it is thick (in a cool way). My Sub is a 5-digit so not a real comparison if you’re referring to a modern ceramic Sub. My Sub wears slightly smaller, thinner and lighter as you might expect. Both are very comfortable though. You cannot get the same feeling this watch gives you by wearing either a Tudor Black Bay, Rolex Sub, or Omega Seamaster nor a cheaper Seiko diver. I tried for years to scratch the itch I had for the Marinemaster to no avail.
The MM300 is the better watch in every way, superior movement, finish (better than Rolex!), and performance. The Tudor does have the advantage of being more versatile, as it fits under a cuff moreDifferent leagues in prices but is the Seiko SLA045 ProSpex MarineMaster 300 a valid alternative to the Rolex 116600 Sea-Dweller “4000”?https://amzn.to/3tm4mn0https://cwwatchshop.com/watcheshttps://www.paypal.me/MarshallTimeReviews Not sure if I 100% agree, but I had both the Sub and the MM300 and now only have a couple MM300’s in the collection.
